- There is a lot of talk today about mental health and for a good reason. It seems that loneliness, hopelessness, and anger have all been on the rise since 2020. Yet Christ offers peace in tribulation, comfort in suffering, and joy even in sadness. How is this possible?
- This quarter at Ekklesia, join us as Christian clubs and college ministries come together to ask the questions:
- What does mental health look like for the Christian?
- Where does the intersection of faith and emotion come together?
- How can we experience feelings without denying them and at the same time not be ruled by our emotions?

Proverbs 27:7 says:
“A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb,But to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.”
In our world today a lot of people are trying to fill their souls with any thing, even the bitter. Every day people attempt to fill their soul with other things, accumulating wealth, an abundance of materialism, pleasure-seeking...the list goes on and on. What is it that truly fills our souls? Our soul, as the psalmist says, “thirsts for the Living God.” and in another place says "Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul."
Join us on May 19th at High Street Community Church as campus and young adult ministries come together for a time of food and fellowship, a worship night led by YWAM, and to reflect on the topic of "What Fills Our Souls?"
